The Australian Human Rights Centre
The Australian Human Rights Centre is an inter-disciplinary research and teaching institute based in the Faculty of Law at the University of New South Wales. Established in 1986, the AHRC aims to increase public awareness about human rights procedures, standards and issues within Australia and the international community. The Centre undertakes research projects on contemporary human rights issues and provides accessible information on developments within the field.

Centre for Gender-Related Violence Studies
Members of the School of Social Work established the Centre for Gender-Related Violence Studies in 1999. It aims to initiate multi-disciplinary research into the causes and control of gender-related violence, and to promote informed, research-based discussion of policies for reducing its occurrence and mitigating its effects.

Indigenous Law Centre
The Indigenous Law Centre was established in 1981 to develop and co-ordinate research, teaching and information services in the multi-disciplinary area of Indigenous peoples and the law. The Centre is guided by an Advisory Committee and co-ordinated by a Management Committee. At least half of the members of these bodies are Indigenous. The Centre publishes the Australian Indigenous Law Reporter (quarterly) and the Indigenous Law Bulletin (eight issues per year).

Kingsford Legal Centre
Kingsford Legal Centre is part of the University of New South Wales as well as being a community legal centre which provides free advice, referral and ongoing assistance to local residents in relation to legal problems. The Centre runs a clinical legal education program whereby students from the Law Faculty study the operation of the legal system by working for clients of the legal centre. The Centre provides services on a state-wide and local basis and undertakes education, policy and campaign work to promote equality of access to the legal system in Australia.

Social Policy Research Centre
The Social Policy Research Centre (SPRC) is a research centre of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of New South Wales. The SPRC conducts research and fosters discussion on all aspects of social policy in Australia, as well as supporting PhD study in these areas.

Australian Domestic and Family Violence Clearinghouse
The Australian Domestic and Family Violence Clearinghouse is a national resource on issues of domestic violence and family violence. It provides a central point for the collection and dissemination of Australian domestic and family violence policy, practice and research. It aims to meet the information needs of government agencies, generalist and specialist service providers, researchers and interested members of the public.

The National Children's and Youth Law Centre is a community legal centre dedicated to addressing human right issues for children and young people through legal change. The touchstone for the centre is the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
